SJS Ltd. was established in 1992 as a Sino-U.S. joint venture co-invested by Sinopec Oilfield Equipment Corporation (SOFE) and SERVAC GROUP (USA). Leveraging the strengths of its joint-venture platform, the company actively integrates cutting-edge global technologies, has developed a substantial portfolio of independently owned intellectual property, and has been officially recognized as a Hubei Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center.
The company specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of integrated oilfield cementing and fracturing equipment, digital-intelligent (smart) products, environmental and seismic exploration systems, downhole tools, pump systems, and clutch products. As a national-level high-tech enterprise and a National Advanced Technology Foreign-Invested Enterprise, SJS pioneered China’s oilfield sector by becoming the first Chinese company to obtain API 11D1 certification for its self-developed series of downhole tools—demonstrating world-class technical capabilities on the global stage.
The company’s achievements have received extensive recognition at both national and provincial levels. Its “Zonal Isolation Bridge Plug for Oil & Gas Wells” was honored with the National Manufacturing Single-Product Champion title by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The case study “Application of 5G Technology in High-Power Oil & Gas Fracturing Operations” was selected as an Outstanding 5G Application Case in the Energy Sector by the National Energy Administration for 2022. The “SOFElink Industrial Internet Platform” was included in MIIT’s Pilot Demonstration List for the Integration of Next-Generation Information Technology and Advanced Manufacturing. Additionally, the “Double-Engine Double-Pump Cementing Skid” was recognized as a Grade-A User-Satisfactory Product in the National Market Quality and Credit Evaluation. Beyond product and technological accolades, the company has also been awarded the Hubei May 1st Labor Medal, named a Hubei Model Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations, and designated a Hubei Cloud Transformation Benchmark Enterprise. Notably, two of its foreign experts were conferred China’s Friendship Award, the nation’s highest honor for foreign professionals who have made outstanding contributions to China’s development.
