Type B switch tool

The Type B switching tool is a cable‑operated device used to open and close circulating slips. It can operate circulating slips of models such as ‘XA’, ‘XO’, and ‘XD’. The tool features a non‑selective on/off switch that automatically disengages from the circulating slip once the opening or closing operation is complete. Once fully disengaged, it can be used to open or close additional circulating slips. Consequently, it enables the simultaneous opening or closing of all circulating slips of the same specification within the drill string in a single run. The Type B switching tool cannot pass through an ‘S’‑type landing joint.
